Meet the S2S Curriculum Team...

Meet the teachers:

Helen Aspley

My name is Helen Aspley. After completing a four year History BA Hons with QTS, at St Marys University College, I worked as a primary school teacher from 2000-2016.

During this time, I was a full and part time class teacher in a variety of different year groups and a curriculum leader for science and maths.   In addition to this, I undertook roles as a supply teacher, Sat’s marker and tutor.

Julie Pyefinch

My name is Julie Pyefinch. I completed a BA Hons in Sport and Leisure Studies, at Leeds Metropolitan University, in the year 2000. I then worked in sales and recruitment until deciding to undertake the Graduate Teacher Programme in 2004.

I worked both full and part time as a primary school teacher from 2005-2015. In this period, I held leadership roles in both PE and science.

Our shared history

As a job share partnership, we always enjoyed planning fun, creative and cross-curricular lessons together (not forgetting appropriate curriculum content!)

Steps 2 Summit gives us the perfect excuse to indulge our passion for this kind of learning.

Our philosophy

As parents of primary aged children ourselves, we want children to experience a curriculum which fosters a love of learning, broadens their horizons and inspires them to dream big!
